ADEKUNLE ADENIRAN – Professor of Sociolinguistics
Adekunle Adeniran is a Professor of Sociolinguistics who has contributed immensely to the creation of technical terms in Yoruba. He has also participated in the following Yoruba Translation projects:
- NRC arid SDP mani-festoes during the third Republic
- Sub-saharan African Women’s Management Training Outreach Programme (WMTOP) training materials, Pan African Institute for Development (based in Abidjan, Cote D’lvoire)
- Manuals and workshops addressing ‘Twelve Critical Areas of Concern’ relating to the Advancement of the Right of Women in Nigeria based on Beijin Declaration and Platform for Action, 4h World Conference on Women, Beijin, China, September, 1995. The Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development (FMWA & SD), Abuja, Nigeria, in conjunction with State Commissioners for Women.
