DR AKINLOYE OJO
Akinloye Ojo is an Associate Professor in the Department of Comparative Literature and African Studies Institute (ASI) at the University of Georgia and currently the Director of African Studies at the University. His teaching and research focus is driven by an interest in the sociolinguistic and socio-cultural situations of Africans in the African continent and African descendants in the Diaspora, particularly the Yoruba in Diaspora. He has taught Yoruba language and culture courses to American students, including first generation of Yoruba students born and raised in America, for over fifteen years in American universities. He also offers courses on Yoruba culture and civilization and African Studies.
Akinloye Ojo is fully committed to the development, promotion and use of the Yoruba language especially in the Diaspora.
